  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch

  • Small containers or muffin tin
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Water (in a spray bottle or cup)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine baking soda, citric acid, and cornstarch.
  • Use a whisk to mix until well blended, ensuring there are no clumps.

Add Color and Scent

  • Create a well in the center of the dry mix.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring and a dash of your chosen essential oil to the mix.
  • Use your hands to blend it in carefully, observing how the color spreads.

Moisten Your Mixture

  • Gradually spray or sprinkle water onto the mixture while stirring.
  • The goal is to achieve a consistency that holds together when squeezed but isn’t too wet.

Shape Your Potions

  • Pack the mixture firmly into your small containers or a muffin tin.
  • Let it sit for a few hours or overnight until completely dry.

Enjoy the Fizz!

  • When ready to use, simply drop the potion into a bowl of water and watch the magical fizzing reaction unfold!

Notes

Tips & Variations: Try mixing colors for a marbled effect, experiment with different essential oils, mix some eco-friendly glitter to enhance the magical feel, or use silicone molds for fun shapes. Create a potion-making station for a party.
