Ingredients
  

For the Fizzy Stars

  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Citric acid Can substitute with cream of tartar
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • various drops Food coloring Choose colors according to preference

For Assembly

  • water as needed Water in a spray bottle To hydrate the mixture
  • 1 bowl Mixing bowl For mixing ingredients
  • spoons as needed Spoons for mixing
  • 1 set Star-shaped silicone molds Can also use other mold shapes

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all materials. Ensure your workspace is clean and clutter-free.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of citric acid, and 1/4 cup of cornstarch.
  • Stir the dry ingredients together until blended, observing the fine texture.
  • If using multiple colors, divide the mixture into separate bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each.
  • Using the spray bottle, lightly mist the dry mixture until it begins to clump together.
  • Spoon the mixture into the star-shaped silicone molds, packing it tightly, and press down firmly.

Drying Process

  • Leave the molds in a dry spot for at least 24 hours to harden.
  • Once dry, carefully pop the stars out and admire their cool, smooth surfaces.

Notes

Experiment with neon or pastel food colors for different themes. Essential oils or flavored extracts can add scent. Avoid humidity for storage; store in an airtight container.
