Fizzy Frozen Stars

Ingredients
For the Fizzy Stars
- 1 cup Baking soda
- 1/2 cup Citric acid Can substitute with cream of tartar
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- various drops Food coloring Choose colors according to preference
For Assembly
- water as needed Water in a spray bottle To hydrate the mixture
- 1 bowl Mixing bowl For mixing ingredients
- spoons as needed Spoons for mixing
- 1 set Star-shaped silicone molds Can also use other mold shapes
Instructions
Preparation
- Gather all materials. Ensure your workspace is clean and clutter-free.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of citric acid, and 1/4 cup of cornstarch.
- Stir the dry ingredients together until blended, observing the fine texture.
- If using multiple colors, divide the mixture into separate bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each.
- Using the spray bottle, lightly mist the dry mixture until it begins to clump together.
- Spoon the mixture into the star-shaped silicone molds, packing it tightly, and press down firmly.
Drying Process
- Leave the molds in a dry spot for at least 24 hours to harden.
- Once dry, carefully pop the stars out and admire their cool, smooth surfaces.

Notes
