Ingredients

  • 1 tray Ice cube tray or star-shaped silicone molds
  • 1/4 cup Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup White vinegar
  • various colors Food coloring
  • to taste cups Plastic cups
  • as needed cups Water
  • 1 small spoon Small spoon or stir stick for mixing

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials, ensuring you have a clean workspace.
  • Measure out 1/4 cup of baking soda into a mixing bowl.

Coloring and Mixing

  • Add a few drops of your chosen food coloring to the baking soda.
  • Mix well with a small spoon until the baking soda changes color.

Creating the Fizzy Reaction

  • Slowly add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the colored baking soda mixture.
  • Watch the fizzing reaction as it bubbles up!

Filling the Molds

  • Carefully spoon the fizzy mixture into your ice cube tray or star-shaped molds.
  • Tap the tray gently on the counter to eliminate air bubbles.

Freezing

  • Place the molds in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours or until completely solid.

Serving

  • When ready to serve, pop the frozen stars out of the molds.
  • Drop them into your favorite drinks for a fizzy surprise!
