  • Add a few tablespoons of water slowly to the baking soda until it reaches a thick consistency, feeling the smooth mixture as you stir.
  • Choose your colors, adding a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolor to the bowl and allowing the colors to blend.
  • Scoop the mixture into your ice trays or molds and press gently to ensure it holds its shape.
  • Prepare a small dish of vinegar while waiting for the shapes to dry.

Fizzy Reaction

  • Once your rocks are firm, pop them from their molds and place them on a clean surface.
  • Drizzle vinegar over the rocks and watch the fizz rise, enjoying the bubbles and colors.
  • Allow the fizzing to complete, taking time to appreciate the rainbow of colors as they mingle.
  • Let your fizzy creations dry further before keeping them or using them in play.

Notes

Consider storing these rocks in a cool, dry place. If made for play, keep some rocks in a container with vinegar for repeated fizzing fun. You can personalize your experience by using natural dyes or adding textures like flower petals.
