Materials for the Sensory Jar

  • 1 jar Clear jar with a lid (mason jar or similar) Ensure it has a tight-sealing lid.
  • 2-3 inches White balloons (small) Inflate to small sizes.
  • 1 marker Black permanent marker (or stickers) For drawing spooky faces.
  • Water Water Fills the jar.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Clear craft glue or glycerin Optional for thickening the water.
  • optional Glitter For added magical touch.
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting balloons if necessary.
  • optional Funnel To help fill the jar without spills.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Inflate the balloons to small sizes, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  • Use a black permanent marker to draw spooky faces on each balloon.

Assemble the Jar

  • Use a funnel to carefully fill the jar with water, leaving some space at the top.
  • Pour in a small amount of clear craft glue or glycerin to thicken the water.

Add the Glitter

  • Sprinkle a few tablespoons of glitter into the jar.

Insert Ghosts

  • Gently place the decorated balloons into the jar.

Seal the Jar

  • Secure the lid tightly to prevent any spills.

Notes

Customize your designs with different colors of balloons or use foam shapes instead of balloons. Adding scents with essential oils can enhance the sensory experience.
