  • 2 cups Water For dissolving gelatin.
  • 1 piece Mold or shallow dish Select a shape you desire (circle, heart, etc.).
  • 1 piece Crafting knife or scissors For cutting flower materials.
  • 1 sheet Wax paper To line the mold.
  • Optional Food coloring or glitter For added flair.

Instructions
 

Preparing the Mold

  • Select a shallow dish or mold in your desired shape (circle, heart, etc.).
  • Line the mold with wax paper to prevent sticking.

Making the Gelatin Mixture

  • In a bowl, dissolve clear gelatin in water according to the package instructions.
  • If desired, mix in food coloring or glitter to add a special touch.

Arranging the Flowers

  • Choose fresh or dried flower petals and leaves.
  • Arrange the flowers in the prepared mold, ensuring they fit neatly.
  • Experiment with different layouts for a unique look.

Pouring the Gelatin

  • Carefully pour the prepared gelatin over the flower arrangement, ensuring all flowers are submerged.
  • Gently tap the mold to release any trapped air bubbles.

Setting the Sun Catcher

  • Let the sun catcher set according to the gelatin package instructions (typically a few hours or overnight).
  • Once set, carefully peel the wax paper away, detaching the sun catcher from the mold.

Notes

Consider using resin instead of gelatin for a more durable finish. Experiment with various flowers, shapes, and include personal items for unique designs.
