Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Baking soda
  • 1 cup Vinegar Can use apple cider vinegar as an alternative.
  • various colors Food coloring Experiment with different colors.
  • 1 piece Plastic container or bowl To mix the ingredients.
  • 1 piece Tray or baking sheet To catch any overflow.
  • 1 tablespoon Dish soap Optional for extra foam.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lay down a tray or baking sheet to catch any overflow.
  • Gather all your materials to keep everything in one spot.

Mixing

  • In your plastic container, add 1/4 cup of baking soda.
  • If desired, add 1 tablespoon of dish soap for added foaminess.

Adding Color

  • Use food coloring to add vibrant colors to the baking soda mixture.
  • Swirl gently to combine the colors without fully mixing.

Initiating Reaction

  • Slowly pour 1 cup of vinegar into the container with the baking soda mixture.
  • Watch closely as the reaction begins and enjoy the fizzing sound and vibrant foam.

Enjoying the Display

  • Watch the colorful foam overflow to create a mini volcano effect.
  • Take pictures or videos to capture the moment!

Notes

For added sparkle, mix glitter into the baking soda before adding vinegar. Experiment with different container shapes to create various foam effects.
