  • 1 pack Water balloons or silicone molds Make sure they are sturdy.
  • Liquid as needed Watercolors or food coloring Use for vibrant colors.
  • Several pieces Small plastic dinosaurs Choose a variety for exciting reveals.
  • 1 cup Water For filling the molds.
  • 1 freezer A freezer To freeze the filled molds.
  • 1 piece Spoon or hammer For breaking the ice during the reveal.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Stretch the water balloons or set up your silicone molds. Ensure they are firmly positioned to prevent spills.
  • Fill the balloons or molds with water and add a few drops of liquid watercolors or food coloring for vibrant colors. Stir gently to mix.
  • Carefully drop a small plastic dinosaur into each balloon or mold and leave enough space for expansion as the water freezes.

Freezing

  • Place the filled balloons or molds in the freezer and allow them to freeze for several hours or overnight—until completely solid.

Reveal

  • Once frozen, remove the molds or pop the balloons. Use a spoon or hammer to break the ice and discover the dinosaurs inside!

Notes

Customize colors, add glitter, change shapes, or swap dinosaurs for variety. Perfect for sensory play, learning, and family bonding.
