Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 large bowl Large bowl or container
  • 1 cup Water Use more as needed.
  • a few drops optional Food coloring For coloring the water.
  • 1 pair Plastic gloves
  • 1 optional Salt Enhances melting effect.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Fill a large bowl with water.
  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring for a vibrant effect.

Filling the Gloves

  • Carefully pour the colored water into the fingers of the plastic gloves.
  • Be sure not to overfill; leave some room for expansion as it freezes.

Securing the Gloves

  • Twist the openings of the gloves and tie them securely to prevent leaks.

Freezing

  • Place the filled gloves in the freezer.
  • Wait patiently for about 4-6 hours or overnight until completely frozen.

Unveiling the Creations

  • Once frozen, remove the gloves from the freezer.
  • Carefully cut open the gloves to reveal your frozen hands.

Observation and Discussion

  • Discuss the changes that occurred during freezing.
  • If using salt, sprinkle it on the ice to observe a faster melting process and discuss the science behind it.

Notes

Consider using different food colorings or adding glitter for a magical touch. Test how materials like salt and sugar affect melting times.
