- 2 cups Epsom salt Epsom salt works better for crystal formation.

- 1 ribbon or string For hanging the ornaments.
Instructions
Preparing the Solution
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 2 cups of Epsom salt.
- Stir the mixture well until the salt is completely dissolved, creating a saturated solution.
Adding Color & Sparkle
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the solution for a pop of color.
- For an extra sparkle, consider adding glitter to the mixture.
Creating the Ornaments
- Carefully pour the salt solution into each plastic or glass ornament.
- Be sure to leave a little space at the top to avoid spills.
Letting It Crystalize
- Seal each ornament and place them in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
- Check periodically to see the formation of ice crystals; they will continue to grow as they chill.
Finishing Touches
