Ingredients

Materials for Glitter Jar

  • 1 jar Clean, empty jar with lid (mason jars work great)
  • 2 parts Distilled water Regular water can be used in a pinch
  • 1 part White school glue or clear glue
  • as needed none Fine glitter (any color, use blue and white for a Frozen theme)
  • a few drops none Food coloring (optional)
  • splash none Glycerin (optional, for slower glitter movement) Not crucial but enhances the effect
  • 1 none Stirring stick
  • 1 none Funnel (for pouring)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Ensure your jar is clean and dry to allow the glitter to float freely.

Mix the Glitter Solution

  • In a bowl, mix 1 part glue with 2 parts distilled water.
  • Stir in your chosen glitter. The more, the merrier!
  • If using food coloring, add a few drops and stir until blended.
  • For a slower glitter swirl, add a splash of glycerin.

Fill the Jar

  • Use a funnel to pour the glitter mixture into the jar, filling it about two-thirds full.

Seal and Test

  • Fill the remainder of the jar with distilled water, leaving space at the top.
  • Secure the lid on tightly to prevent spills and test by shaking the jar gently.

Final Touches

  • Give your jar a shake and watch the glitter dance. Adjust contents if needed by adding more glue or water.

Notes

Use pastel colors for a soft look or vibrant colors for a bold statement. Consider adding small Frozen-themed figurines to enhance the charm. For a more organic look, incorporate sand or sea salt.
