Ingredients
  

Volcano Ingredients

  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • 1 cup White vinegar Can substitute with apple cider or wine vinegar.
  • 1 tablespoon Dish soap Optional; adds bubbles.
  • various drops Food coloring Use any colors you like for different explosions.
  • 1 Small container or cup For the volcano mold.
  • 1 Tray or shallow dish To catch overflow.

Equipment

  • 1 Freezer To chill the volcano.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Choose a small container to shape your volcano.
  • Pour baking soda into the container until it’s about halfway full.

Mixture

  • In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 1 tablespoon of dish soap.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the vinegar mixture for colorful explosions.

Freezing

  • Place the container with baking soda in the freezer for a few hours to create a frozen base.

Eruption

  • Once frozen, remove the container from the freezer.
  • Pour the vinegar mixture over the frozen volcano and watch it erupt!
  • Enjoy the fizzing sounds and vibrant colors as they blend together.

Notes

For added creativity, mix glitter with the baking soda and try different molds for unique designs.
