  • 1 each Clear ziplock bags or pouches Ensure they are sturdy to hold contents.
  • 1 cup Soft pom-poms or fuzzy balls
  • 1 cup Colorful fabric scraps
  • 1 tablespoon Shimmering sequins or glitter Optional for extra sparkle.
  • 1 each Beads or small buttons
  • 1 cup Water Optional for squishy bags.
  • 1 drop Food coloring Optional for colored water.
  • 1 each Glitter glue or gel For extra sparkle and decoration.
  • 1 each Tape To seal the bags securely.

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials on a clean, flat surface.

Filling the Bag

  • Open the ziplock bag and start adding your chosen sensory elements, beginning with pom-poms.
  • Add fabric scraps, sequins, beads, or buttons to create varied textures.

Adding Liquid (Optional)

  • If making a squishy bag, fill the bag with a little water and a drop of food coloring.

Sealing the Bag

  • Carefully remove excess air and seal the bag tightly.
  • For extra security, use tape to seal the edges.

Exploring

  • Allow children to explore the sensory bag by squeezing, shaking, and feeling the different materials inside.

Notes

Experiment with different textures like rice or beans. Customize contents based on themes or holidays. Add essential oils for scent, or small stones for weight.
