Instructions
Preparation
- Start by kneading the air-dry clay until it's soft and pliable.
- Roll out the clay on a flat surface lined with wax paper to prevent sticking.
Cutting
- Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out heart shapes from the rolled clay.
- Carefully remove the excess clay and place the heart shapes onto the wax paper to dry.
Painting
- Once the clay is dry, begin painting your heart with dark blue as the base.
- Use a large brush to cover the surface completely.
Adding Depth
- With a smaller brush, add purple and pink patches randomly, creating swirls and gradients.
- Use white to add stars by either dotting with a brush or using a sponge for a textured effect.
Finishing Touch
- Allow the paint to dry completely and for added durability, apply a glossy sealant to finish.
Hanging
- Once dry, poke a small hole at the top of the heart and thread a piece of string or ribbon for hanging.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with other colors like teal, gold, or silver for a unique effect. Use sponges for a textured look or add glitter for extra sparkle.
