Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons gelatin powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt as a preservative
  • 1 teaspoon essential oil your choice
  • Food coloring optional
  • Small jars or containers for the gel

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of gelatin. Stir gently until the gelatin begins to dissolve, avoiding clumps.

Heating the Mixture

  • Transfer the mixture to a saucepan. Heat gently over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. This should take about 5 minutes. Do not let it boil; just ensure all grains are dissolved.

Adding Fragrance and Color

  • Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in 2 tablespoons of salt and 1 teaspoon of essential oil.
  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to enhance the visual appeal.

Setting the Gel

  • Pour the mixture into small jars or containers. Allow them to cool at room temperature until set (about 2-3 hours).
  • Place them in your chosen area once firm.

Notes

Experiment with different essential oils for unique scents. Use fun shapes or colorful jars to match your décor. Consider adding dried flowers or herbs for a decorative touch.
