Main Ingredients

  • 1 pack unflavored gelatin (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup Adds elasticity to the bouncy ball
  • as desired food coloring (optional) To customize the color

Tools

  • 1 bowl for mixing
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 small mold (like a cupcake pan or silicone molds)

Instructions

Preparation of Gelatin Mixture

  • In a bowl, combine 1 pack of unflavored gelatin and 1/2 cup of water.
  • Stir the mixture gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Notice how it thickens—this is the gelatin blooming!

Heating the Mixture

  • Once bloomed, place the bowl in a microwave for about 30 seconds, or until the gelatin is fully dissolved. You should see a clear, liquid consistency.

Adding Ingredients

  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of corn syrup. This adds elasticity, so your ball will bounce better. Mix thoroughly.
  • If you want a colorful ball, add a few drops of food coloring and mix until uniform. Bright colors will make your bouncy ball even more fun!

Molding the Ball

  • Pour the mixture into your chosen mold, filling it halfway.
  • Let it sit at room temperature to cool for about 20 minutes, then place it in the fridge for an additional 30 minutes to firm up.

Final Steps

  • Carefully pop your bouncy ball out of the mold. Give it a squeeze—feel the bouncy texture!
  • Test its bounce by dropping it from a few inches high.

Notes

Customize shape using different molds for unique shapes. You can scent it with essential oils or add glitter for a sparkling effect. Adjust firmness to your preference.
