Instructions

Preparation

  • Clear a flat surface and protect it with newspaper or a craft mat.
  • Gather all materials for easy access.

Melting the Wax

  • Measure the desired amount of wax using a scale (approximately 1 cup per candle).
  • In a double boiler, heat the wax to about 170°F (76°C).
  • Stir gently until completely melted.

Adding Fragrance and Dye

  • Remove the melted wax from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • If desired, add fragrance oils and dye, stirring well to distribute evenly.

Attaching the Wick

  • Secure the candle wick at the bottom of the glass container using a dab of melted wax or wick sticker.
  • Ensure the wick is centered; you can use a wick holder to keep it straight.

Pouring the Wax

  • Carefully pour the melted wax into the glass container, leaving a small space at the top.
  • Allow the wax to cool slightly and harden (around 10-15 minutes).

Finishing Touch

  • Once the candle has fully cooled, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch above the wax surface.

Notes

Customize scents with essential oils and container materials to suit your style. Candles can last 20 to 60 hours depending on size and wax type.
