Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and water. Stir gently until smooth, observing the fusion of ingredients.
  • Place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Stir continuously, feeling the warmth gently rise in the pan.
  • As the mixture thickens, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • If using food coloring, add it now and swirl it gently until you reach your desired shade.
  • Once cool enough to handle, transfer the mixture to your baking sheet. Mold it with cookie cutters or your hands into desired shapes.
  • Allow your creations to air dry for at least 24 hours until they become firm.

  • Once completely dry, find the perfect spot for each piece to catch the light and scatter reflections throughout your space.
