  • Fill the jar halfway with water. This will serve as the base for your colored fireworks.

Layering

  • Carefully pour vegetable oil into the jar until it almost reaches the top.
  • Observe how the oil floats on the water, creating two distinct layers.

Creating Fireworks

  • In a small bowl, mix a few tablespoons of water with a few drops of food coloring.
  • Use a spoon or dropper to add the colored mixture directly into the oil.
  • Watch as the colors drop and swirl through the oil, creating a stunning fireworks effect!

Final Steps

  • Once you’re satisfied with the colors, securely close the jar with its lid.
  • Gently swirl or shake the jar to mix the colors if desired.
