  • 1 sheet Clear plastic sheets or window clings For creating the base of the suncatcher
  • various colors Glitter Choose different colors for vibrant designs
  • 1 set Colored markers or paints For adding details to the design
  • 1 Scissors For cutting out the suncatcher shape
  • 1 bottle Glue (non-toxic) To adhere the glitter
  • 1 bowl A bowl For mixing materials if needed
  • 1 string String or fishing line For hanging the finished suncatcher
  • 1 Hole puncher (optional) To make a hole for hanging

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Choose a well-lit workspace and lay down newspaper or a plastic sheet to protect surfaces.

Design Creation

  • Decide on a shape for your suncatcher (stars, hearts, flowers, etc.) and sketch a simple outline on the plastic sheet with a marker.

Gluing and Glitter Application

  • Using a brush or your fingers, spread a thin layer of glue inside your design.
  • Sprinkle your chosen glitter over the glued area, covering it completely and shake off excess glitter. Let the glue dry for a few minutes.

Adding Color

  • If desired, use colored markers or paints to add details around the glitter.

Cutting and Punching

  • Once the glue is dry, carefully cut around your suncatcher shape.
  • Punch a hole at the top for the string if you plan to hang it.

Hanging

  • Thread the string through the hole and hang it in a sunny spot. Watch as it sparkles in the light!

Tips: Customize shapes using cookie cutters, try different types of glitter for added interest, and change designs with the seasons for variety.
