Instructions

Directions

  • Begin by cutting a length of fishing line or beading thread to about 24 inches for a nice drape.
  • Take one end of your line and tie it securely onto the metal or plastic ring. This will act as your hanging point.
  • Choose your first glow bead and slide it onto the line, feeling its smooth surface.
  • Continue adding beads, alternating colors and patterns, letting your intuition guide you.
  • Once you’ve reached your desired length, tie a knot at the end to secure the beads in place.
  • Trim any excess line while holding the beads firmly.
  • If desired, use a glue gun to secure your knot further with a drop of glue. Allow to cool.
  • Hang your suncatcher in a window where sunlight can pour in, and enjoy.

Notes

To preserve your suncatchers, store them gently. Bring them indoors during harsh weather. Decorate with dried flowers or seasonal color themes for a personal touch.
