Materials Needed

  • 1 pack Glow-in-the-dark beads (assorted colors)
  • 1 piece Oven-safe baking dish or silicone mold
  • 1 piece Parchment paper For easy removal of the suncatcher
  • 1 piece Metal wire or string For hanging the finished suncatcher
  • 1 pair Scissors
  • 1 oven Oven For baking the beads
  • 1 spray Non-stick spray (optional) Can be used to prevent sticking

Instructions

Preparation

  • Clear a flat surface and gather all materials.
  • Lay out parchment paper in your baking dish for easy removal.

Arranging

  • Carefully arrange your glow-in-the-dark beads in your desired shape within the mold or dish.
  • Opt for patterns like flowers, stars, or abstract designs for visual appeal.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Once preheated, place your dish in the oven for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Watch closely as the beads melt and fuse together, transforming into a solid piece.

Cooling

  • After baking, carefully remove the dish from the oven (use oven mitts as it’s hot!).
  • Allow it to cool completely before gently lifting your suncatcher out using the parchment paper.

Hanging

  • Cut a length of metal wire or string.
  • Create a small loop to thread through a hole or add on top for hanging.

Notes

Customize colors and shapes to reflect your style. Consider using cookie cutters for shapes and create mini suncatchers for smaller spaces.
