  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 1 cup glow in the dark paint or powdered phosphorescent pigment
  • as needed food coloring (optional) Optional for customizing colors.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Stir these together until well mixed.
  • In a separate pot, mix water, vegetable oil, and food coloring (if using). Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until warm.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the pot while stirring. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides.
  • Once the dough is formed, remove it from heat. Stir in your glow in the dark paint or pigment until well incorporated.
  • (Tip: Test the glow intensity by using more or less pigment.)
  • Allow the dough to cool for a few minutes. Knead the dough with your hands until it's smooth and pliable.

For added sensory experience, try these variations: 1) Scented Dough: Add a few drops of essential oils for a pleasant aroma. 2) Textured Dough: Incorporate glitter or crushed herbs for added texture. 3) Color Variations: Experiment with different food coloring combinations to create a rainbow effect. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness and softness.
