Ingredients
  

Main Materials

  • 1 piece Clean glass jar (mason jar or any clear jar) Make sure it's washed and dried thoroughly.
  • 1 bottle Glow-in-the-dark paint Use paint specifically made for glow effects.
  • 1 cup Small aquarium rocks or pebbles For the base layer of the aquarium.
  • 1 set Plastic aquarium plants or sea creatures To create the underwater theme.
  • Water Water for filling the jar Leave some space at the top.
  • 1 piece Paintbrush For applying the glow-in-the-dark paint.
  • Optional Glitter, small seashells, or decorative sand For additional decoration if desired.

Preparation

  • Start with a clean glass jar. Wash and dry it thoroughly to ensure no residue affects the paint.
  • Using a paintbrush, apply a generous layer of glow-in-the-dark paint to the inside of the jar, focusing on the bottom and sides.
  • Once the paint has dried, add a layer of aquarium rocks or pebbles to the bottom of the jar.
  • Insert the plastic plants or sea creatures and arrange them as desired.
  • Carefully fill the jar with water, leaving some space at the top. If desired, sprinkle in glitter or small seashells for added effect.
  • Place the jar in a sunny spot or under a strong light for several hours to charge the glow-in-the-dark paint.
  • After charging, turn off the lights to see your aquarium jar illuminate with a beautiful glow!

Notes

Try using different colors of glow-in-the-dark paint for more vibrant effects. Optionally, include a few drops of essential oil for a soothing scent. You can also swap materials or create themed jars for various occasions.
