Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup white school glue Use non-toxic school glue
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup cornstarch

Glow Ingredients

  • 2-3 teaspoons glow-in-the-dark powder Available at craft stores
  • as needed Food coloring Optional, for colored chalk

Preparation

  • Choose a clean, flat surface to work on and lay down newspaper or a plastic cover for easy cleanup.

Mixing the Base

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue and 1 cup of water. Use a whisk or spoon to blend until smooth.

Adding Cornstarch

  • Gradually mix in 1 cup of cornstarch and stir well to prevent lumps; the mixture should become thick.

Incorporating Glow Powder

  • Add 2-3 teaspoons of glow-in-the-dark powder to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.

Coloring (Optional)

  • If you want colored chalk, mix in a few drops of food coloring and blend thoroughly for a uniform color.

Storing

  • Pour the mixture into molds or containers of your choice and allow the chalk to dry for 24-48 hours until completely hardened.

Testing

  • Once dry, take your chalk outside to test its glow effect. Create your art on sidewalks, driveways, or outdoor surfaces!

Notes

Customize colors and shapes by experimenting with different food coloring and mold options. Recharge chalk by exposing it to light before use at night.
