Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by choosing your jars. Clean and dry them thoroughly, creating a blank canvas for your fireflies.
  • Prepare your glow-in-the-dark paint, mixing it thoroughly to ensure an even consistency.
  • Using your paintbrush or sponge, apply a generous coat of glow-in-the-dark paint to the inside of the jars.
  • Once the paint dries, place a small LED fairy light at the bottom of each jar.
  • Add decorative touches by wrapping twine or ribbon around the jar's neck.
  • Optional: Add decorative pebbles or a small layer of soil at the bottom for a more grounded aesthetic.
  • Finish with a final touch by personalizing further with small embellishments or handwritten tags.
  • Set aside the jars in a comfortable spot where they can recharge under light.

Notes

To preserve your glow-in-the-dark fireflies, store the jars in a cool, dry place. If using battery-operated lights, keep extra batteries handy.
