Instructions
Preparation
- Choose a clean, transparent jar for a clear view of the vibrant fireworks.
- Pour about 1/2 cup of water into the jar.
- Add a few drops of food coloring; choose colors that remind you of fireworks!
Prepare the Glow Elements
- If using glow powder, stir it into about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a small container.
- If using glow sticks, cut them open to extract the liquid.
Combine the Elements
- Use a funnel to carefully pour the colored water into the jar, letting it settle at the bottom.
- Slowly add the oil and glow mixture on top of the colored water.
Watch the Magic Happen
- As you pour the oil, observe the colored water developing 'fireworks' as the two densities interact.
- If you used glow sticks, expose the jar to light for a few minutes to activate the glow.
