Preparation

  • Choose a clean, transparent jar for a clear view of the vibrant fireworks.
  • Pour about 1/2 cup of water into the jar.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring; choose colors that remind you of fireworks!

Prepare the Glow Elements

  • If using glow powder, stir it into about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a small container.
  • If using glow sticks, cut them open to extract the liquid.

Combine the Elements

  • Use a funnel to carefully pour the colored water into the jar, letting it settle at the bottom.
  • Slowly add the oil and glow mixture on top of the colored water.

Watch the Magic Happen

  • As you pour the oil, observe the colored water developing 'fireworks' as the two densities interact.
  • If you used glow sticks, expose the jar to light for a few minutes to activate the glow.

Notes

Customize colors, experiment with different oils for varying effects, and consider adding glitter for extra flair. Store your creation in a cool, dark place to preserve the glow effect.
