Ingredients
  

Materials Needed

  • 1 clean, clear glass jar Clean, clear glass jar (with lid) Ensure it's thoroughly cleaned and dried.
  • 1 bottle Glow-in-the-dark paint (various colors) Non-toxic paint recommended.
  • 3/4 jar Water For filling the jar.
  • 1 small Small paintbrush For applying the paint.
  • Optional Glitter For extra sparkle.
  • Optional Food coloring For color variation.
  • 1 Scoop or funnel For pouring water.
  • 1 Paper towel For cleanup.

Preparation

  • Clean the jar thoroughly and ensure it's dried.

Applying Paint

  • Use a small paintbrush to apply a generous coat of glow-in-the-dark paint to the inside of the jar.

Filling with Water

  • Pour water into the jar until it's about three-quarters full, using a funnel to avoid spills.

Adding Color and Glitter

  • If using food coloring or glitter, sprinkle it into the water now and stir gently.

Sealing and Charging

  • Screw the lid onto the jar tightly and place it in bright light for a couple of hours to charge the glow.

Enjoying the Glow

  • Once charged, dim the lights and enjoy the glowing effect from your jar.

Notes

Mix different colors of glow-in-the-dark paint for unique effects. Use various jar sizes and experiment with different additives like beads for visual variety.
