Preparation
- Twist and bend pipe cleaners into snowflake shapes (six arms work well) using various colors for a vibrant design.
Creating the Solution
- Boil 2 cups of water and add 1 cup of Borax, stirring until fully dissolved.
- Optional: Add glow-in-the-dark paint or glitter for extra shine.
Mixing
- Place the pipe cleaner snowflakes in the solution, ensuring they are fully submerged.
Setting
- Allow the snowflakes to sit for 6-12 hours or overnight to let crystals form.
- Observe the magic as crystals form around your design!
Drying
- Carefully remove the snowflakes from the solution and let them dry on a paper towel or a rack.
Finalizing
- Expose the dried snowflakes to light to charge them before turning off the lights.
