Ingredients

Main Materials

  • 1 jar A clean, empty glass jar with a lid (mason jars work great)
  • 1 bottle Glow in the dark paint or glow in the dark glitter
  • 1 pack Small ocean-themed decorations (miniature sea creatures, shells, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup Clear PVA glue
  • 3 drops Blue food coloring (optional)
  • 1 each Paintbrush or sponge
  • 1 each Black light (optional for enhanced glowing effect)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Clean your glass jar thoroughly and let it dry completely to ensure maximum adhesion of materials.

Apply Glow Elements

  • Use a paintbrush or sponge to apply glow in the dark paint onto the inside of the jar. Create a swirling or layered effect with glowing paint and glitter for texture.

Create the Ocean Scene

  • Add a few drops of blue food coloring to some water, if desired, to simulate the ocean. Carefully place your ocean-themed decorations inside the jar.

Mix and Fill

  • In a separate bowl, mix your clear PVA glue with the colored water (if using), creating a semi-transparent solution. Pour this mixture into the jar to fill it, covering the decorations while leaving some space at the top.

Seal and Charge

  • Close the jar tightly. Leave it under sunlight or a bright artificial light to charge the glow in the dark elements.

Enjoy

  • Turn off the lights and watch your ocean jar glow beautifully!

Notes

Try different colors for a unique ocean hue. Use themed items like tropical fish or underwater castles instead of traditional sea creatures. Consider adding real sand or tiny stones for added texture and realism. Use a black light in a dark room to enhance the glow effect.
