Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 set Ping pong balls As many as you want
  • 1 bottle Glow-in-the-dark paint Various colors if desired
  • 1 set Paintbrushes Small for detail work
  • 1 sheet Black or dark colored paper For backing or display
  • 1 can Clear sealant spray Optional, for finishing touch
  • 1 plate Paper plate or palette For mixing paint
  • 1 sheet Old newspaper or drop cloth To protect your workspace

Instructions
 

Preparing Your Workspace

  • Lay down the newspaper or drop cloth to keep your area clean.
  • Gather all your materials for easy access.

Painting Your Planets

  • Start with one ping pong ball.
  • Use the small paintbrush to apply glow-in-the-dark paint evenly over the ball.
  • Experiment with colors—mix shades for planets like Earth or Mars!
  • For added detail, create rings for planets like Saturn or texture for surfaces.

Drying Process

  • Place painted balls on a paper plate to dry.
  • Make sure they are positioned carefully to avoid sticking to the plate.
  • Allow at least 2–4 hours for full drying or overnight for best results.

Applying Sealant (Optional)

  • Once dry, spray a light coat of clear sealant for protection.
  • Ensure the space is well-ventilated during this step.

Lighting Up Your Planets

  • Charge the glow-in-the-dark paint under bright light for at least 30 minutes.
  • Turn off the lights and observe the beautiful glow!

Notes

Customize by using different shades and adding details. Use other spherical objects if ping pong balls are not available.
