Ingredients
  

Crystal Solution Ingredients

  • 1 cup water Heated
  • 3 cups sugar Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon glow-in-the-dark paint Non-toxic
  • Food coloring pink food coloring Use as desired
  • 1 clean glass container jar or vase For holding the solution
  • 1 stick wooden stick or stirring tool For mixing the solution
  • 1 sheet wax paper or parchment paper For catching drips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, heat the water on medium until it begins to steam.
  • Gradually stir in the sugar until completely dissolved to create a supersaturated solution.

Add Color and Glow

  • Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  • Mix in the glow-in-the-dark paint and a few drops of pink food coloring until you achieve your desired shade.

Set Up for Crystal Growth

  • Pour the solution into your glass container and place it on a flat, stable surface.
  • Optionally, place wax paper beneath it to catch any drips.

Let it Grow

  • Allow the solution to sit undisturbed for several days to form crystals.
  • Observe the crystals beginning to form as the solution cools and evaporates.

Finish Touches

  • Once the crystals have grown well, gently remove them and let dry.
  • Optional: Attach strings or decorations if desired.

Notes

You can customize the color and add glitter for extra sparkle. Using different shapes of containers can create unique designs.
