Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 4 tablespoons cream of tartar

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small amount food coloring (optional) Use food coloring to customize colors.

Special Ingredient

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Stir well to ensure there are no clumps.
  • In a saucepan, mix together water, vegetable oil, and food coloring if desired.

Cooking

  • Heat the wet ingredients over medium heat while slowly adding the dry mixture. Stir continuously with a wooden spoon until it forms a doughy ball.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  • Once cool enough to handle, knead in the glow-in-the-dark paint or powder until well incorporated.

Storage

  • Place in an airtight container when finished to keep your playdough fresh and ready for playtime.
