  • 1 piece Paper plate For mixing paint.
  • 1 piece Newspaper or disposable cloth For easy cleanup and protecting your workspace.
  • 10 pieces Optional: googly eyes, pipe cleaners, or additional decorative items Add extra flair to your insects.

Preparation

  • Select your smooth, clean rocks that will serve as the base for your insects.
  • Lay down newspaper or a disposable cloth to protect surfaces from paint.

Painting the Base

  • Start with your chosen glow-in-the-dark paint color.
  • Use a large paintbrush to cover the entire rock with the glow paint.
  • Let the first coat dry according to the instructions of the paint you’re using.

Designing Your Insect

  • Once the base coat is dry, use a fine-tipped permanent marker to draw on features like legs, antennae, or wings.
  • For extra flair, consider adding googly eyes or using pipe cleaners as legs.

Sealing Your Creation (Optional)

  • Once completely dry, apply a water-based sealant over the rocks to protect your design.

Notes
