Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine baking soda and corn syrup to form the base for your tree.
  • Slowly add white vinegar to the mixture and watch it fizz and bubble.

Shaping

  • Once the fizzing diminishes, add a small amount of water to achieve a moldable consistency.
  • Place the mixture onto a tray or wax paper and sculpt it into a tree shape with a sturdy base and branches.

Drying

  • Allow your baking soda tree to dry fully in a well-ventilated area, which may take several hours to a day.

Coloring

  • If desired, gently brush or spray food coloring on the tree once it’s dry.

Enjoying

  • To witness the glowing effect, position your tree under a blacklight.

Notes

This craft is customizable; consider creating different shapes or adding glitter for a sparkly effect. You can also use essential oils for a pleasant scent.
