- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup vinegar

- 1 jar a clean jar (wide mouth preferred)

Preparation
- Start with a clean, dry jar. The wider the mouth, the easier it’ll be to build your tree.
- In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of baking soda with a few drops of food coloring if desired. Mix it until the color is evenly distributed.
- In a separate small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of vinegar with glow-in-the-dark powder or paint (if using). Stir well until combined.
Combining Ingredients
- Carefully pour the glowing vinegar mixture into the jar with the baking soda.
- Stand back and watch as the mixture fizzes and reacts! This is where the stunning visuals come to life.
- Allow the fizzing to subside before continuing. You can adjust the mixture's consistency at this point by adding more baking soda or vinegar as desired.
- Once settled, you can add more glow-in-the-dark paint to the top layer for extra luminescence.
