Ingredients
  

Materials for Glowing Bubble Lamp

  • 1 bottle Clear plastic or glass bottle Ensure the bottle is clean and clear for good color display.
  • variety colors Food coloring Use different colors to achieve unique color effects.
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil Generous amount is needed to create bubble effect.
  • 1 cup Water Mix with food coloring.
  • 1 tablespoon Baking soda This will react with vinegar later.
  • 1 cup White vinegar Added to activate the bubble reaction.
  • 1 candle LED tealight candle Use for safety instead of regular candles.
  • optional Glitter, small decorations (like beads or sequins) Add for extra sparkle.

Instructions
 

Preparing the Base

  • Clean your plastic or glass bottle thoroughly. Ensure it’s clear for the best display of colors.
  • In a separate container, mix water with food coloring until you achieve your desired color.

Creating the Bubbles

  • Pour a generous amount of vegetable oil into the bottle. This will create the bubble effect.
  • Slowly pour the colored water into the bottle, allowing it to settle under the oil layer. The two will not mix!

Adding Excitement

  • Carefully add a tablespoon of baking soda to the mix; this will react with vinegar later.
  • When you’re ready for the lamp to glow, pour a bit of white vinegar into the bottle. Watch the bubbles form and rise!

Finalizing Your Lamp

  • Place an LED tealight candle at the base of the bottle to enhance the glow.
  • If desired, add glitter or small decorations for an extra touch of pizzazz!

Notes

Experiment with different food color combinations for unique effects. Use alternative containers to create various styles.
