- 1 amount Glow-in-the-dark paint or powder Use non-toxic materials safe for use with food items.
- 1 amount Dish soap Regular or eco-friendly alternatives can be used.
- 1 piece Mixing utensil Like a stick or spoon for combining ingredients.
- 1 brush Paintbrush If using paint to enhance the glow effect.
- 1 piece Funnel For easy pouring of the mixture.
- a few drops amount Food coloring Optional for aesthetic enhancement.
Instructions
Preparation
- Start with a clean, dry jar. Make sure there’s no residue for the paint to adhere properly.
- If using glow-in-the-dark powder, mix it with a small amount of clear dish soap in a separate bowl. Aim for a consistency that allows for easy pouring.
- For added flair, you can mix in a few drops of food coloring. Stir thoroughly to achieve the desired hue.
- Using the funnel, carefully pour the glowing dish soap mixture into the jar, leaving some space at the top for the lid.
- If you’re using glow-in-the-dark paint, apply a coat inside the jar with a paintbrush before adding the soap mixture to enhance the glow effect.
- Expose the jar to light for a few hours. The more light it absorbs, the better the glow will be in the dark.
- To use, simply shake the jar and dispense the desired amount of soap. Watch it glow while you wash dishes!
Notes
Try experimenting with different colors of glow powder or paint for varied effects. Add essential oils to create a pleasant scent while you clean. Decorate the outside of the jar with tape or stickers to personalize it.
