Instructions
Preparation
- Clean your glass jar thoroughly to ensure visibility.
- Choose a lid if desired to preserve the effect.
Mix the Glow Solution
- In a separate bowl, mix warm water with a generous amount of glow-in-the-dark paint or glitter.
- Stir until well combined, creating a glowing liquid.
Layer the Rainbow
- Using a spoon or funnel, add cotton balls to the jar as the first layer.
- Drip various colors of liquid food coloring on top of the cotton, allowing it to soak in.
- Continue layering more cotton and food coloring until you reach the top of the jar.
Pour the Glow Solution
- Carefully pour the glowing mixture over the colored layers, watching it cascade down.
- Ensure the cotton absorbs the liquid, enhancing the glow.
Cap and Charge
- Seal the jar with the lid and place it under a light source for a few minutes to 'charge' the glow.
- Turn off the lights and watch your creation illuminate!
