Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 bottle Clear school glue or liquid glue Best for creating suncatchers.
  • 1 sheet Wax paper or plastic sheet To create the base for the suncatcher.
  • various drops Food coloring or liquid watercolor Customize colors for your suncatcher.
  • 1 Paintbrush or droppers For applying the colored glue.
  • 1 pair Scissors Necessary for trimming the final product.
  • optional Glitter, beads, or sequins For added sparkle.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lay down a protective covering on your work surface, such as newspaper or a plastic cloth.
  • Gather all your materials for easy access.

Create a Base

  • Cut a piece of wax paper or plastic sheet to your desired size.
  • Secure it with tape at the corners to prevent it from moving.

Mix Colors

  • In a small bowl, add a few tablespoons of clear glue.
  • Choose a food coloring or liquid watercolor and add it into the glue.
  • Stir well with a paintbrush or dropper until you achieve a vibrant hue.

Apply the Glue Mixture

  • Using the paintbrush or dropper, carefully apply the colored glue onto the wax paper.
  • Experiment with shapes and patterns. Swirl colors together for unique designs!

Add Sparkle (Optional)

  • While the glue is still wet, sprinkle glitter or place beads/sequins on the glue for extra flair.

Let It Dry

  • Allow the suncatcher to dry completely. This may take several hours or overnight, depending on the thickness of the glue.

Cut Out Suncatcher

  • Once dry, gently peel off the suncatcher from the wax paper.
  • Use scissors to trim any uneven edges for a clean finish.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and blending techniques to create new looks. Use biodegradable glitter for an eco-friendly version!
