  • 1 Hole punch (optional) For adding string to hang
  • as needed String or filament for hanging (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clear a flat surface and lay down some newspaper or paper towels to catch spills.

Mixing Colors

  • In small cups, mix white school glue with food coloring or liquid watercolors to create vibrant shades.
  • Use a paintbrush or sponge to apply the mixed colors for better control.

Creating the Design

  • Lay out sheets of wax paper or plastic wrap on your work surface.
  • Pour or brush the colored glue onto the wax paper to form shapes, patterns, or abstract designs.

Drying

  • Allow the Suncatchers to dry completely for several hours or overnight.
  • The glue will dry clear, showcasing your beautiful colors.

Finishing Touches

  • Once dried, carefully cut out the shapes you’ve made.
  • Use a hole punch at the top for stringing if desired, or stick them directly to the window.

Notes

Add texture by incorporating rice, glitter, or small beads. Use seasonal colors to match your decor. Experiment with natural dyes made from fruits or vegetables for non-toxic options.
