Ingredients

  • 1 bottle White school glue Non-toxic and dries clear.
  • 1 sheet Wax paper or parchment paper Used as the base for suncatcher.
  • a few tablespoons Food coloring or liquid watercolors For coloring the glue.
  • 1 optional Paintbrush Can be used for applying colored glue.
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting the suncatcher.
  • 1 length Twine or string For hanging the suncatcher.
  • 1 optional Sponge or sponge brush For easier application of glue.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lay out wax or parchment paper on a flat surface to protect it and create a foundation for your suncatcher.

Mixing Colors

  • In a small bowl, combine a few tablespoons of glue with a drop or two of food coloring or liquid watercolor. Adjust the color concentration to your liking.

Creating Designs

  • Use a paintbrush or sponge to apply the colored glue onto the wax paper. You can use stencils or create free-form shapes and designs.

Drying

  • Allow your glue painting to dry completely, preferably overnight, to ensure it’s fully set.

Cutting and Hanging

  • Once dry, gently peel off the suncatcher from the wax paper.
  • Cut around your design for a cleaner look.
  • Use twine or string to hang your beautiful creation in a window.
