Slime Ingredients

  • 1 cup clear or white school glue Can use regular glue; white glue will make slime less transparent.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup baking soda This gives the slime its stretchy texture.
  • 1-2 teaspoons slime activator (contact lens solution + baking soda)
  • green food coloring Add to achieve desired shade.
  • glitter (optional) For extra sparkle.

Tools

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 spoon for stirring
  • 1 airtight container for storage To keep slime fresh.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of clear or white school glue and 1 cup of water. Stir well until combined.
  • Add 1 cup of baking soda to the glue mixture and mix until fully integrated.
  • Add green food coloring to your mix, starting with a few drops and stir until the desired shade of green is achieved. If desired, mix in glitter at this stage.
  • Slowly add 1-2 teaspoons of slime activator to the mixture while stirring continuously until it begins to pull away from the bowl.
  • Once it gets too difficult to stir, knead the slime with your hands until it comes together.
  • Place your Grinch slime in an airtight container to keep it fresh for your next play session.

Notes

Add a few drops of peppermint essential oil for scent. Experiment with textures by adding foam beads or confetti. Substitute baking soda with saline solution for a different slime base.
