Preparation

  • Lay down newspapers or a plastic sheet to catch any paint spills.

Painting

  • Allow the paint to completely dry, creating a blank canvas.

Creating Ghost Faces

  • Get creative with expressions—mix up friendly and spooky!

Adding Grubby Effect

  • To give your ghosts a vintage look, mix a little water with coffee grounds or sprinkle cinnamon over the paint while it’s still wet.
  • Dust off excess to achieve a ‘grubby’ appearance.

Hanging

  • Cut a desired length of twine or ribbon.
  • Secure it to the top of the clothespin using hot glue to allow for hanging.

Display

Notes

Consider adding accessories like small fabric scraps or ribbons as scarves. You can use different sizes of clothespins for a unique ghost family. Create a ghostly garland by stringing several ghosts together.
