  • Gather all materials within reach.

Melting the Wax

  • Use a double boiler or microwave to melt the wax.
  • If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
  • Temperature should reach around 170°F (77°C).

Adding Fragrance and Dye

  • Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Stir in fragrance oils.
  • If desired, add dye gradually until you reach the desired shade.

Preparing the Wick

  • Secure the wick to the bottom of your container using hot glue or a wick sticker.
  • Make sure it’s centered for even burning.

Pouring the Wax

  • Carefully pour the wax into your prepared container, leaving a small space at the top.
  • Hold the wick in the center to keep it straight.

Securing the Wick

  • Use a wick holder or pencil laid across the top of the container to keep the wick centered as the wax hardens.

Cooling

  • Allow the candle to cool completely, which may take several hours.
  • Once cooled, trim the wick to 1/4 inch above the wax surface.
