  • 1 cup shaving cream (non-foaming)
  • 1/2 cup liquid soap (such as dish soap or hand soap)

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials and set up your workspace ensuring it’s clean to minimize mess.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shaving cream and liquid soap. Stir gently but thoroughly until the mixture is well blended and fluffy.
  • Divide the mixture into separate bowls for each color you wish to create.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors to each bowl and whisk or stir until the colors are evenly mixed.
  • Carefully spoon the foamy paint into your storage containers and label each container with its color.

Playtime

  • Take the foamy bath paint to the tub and let your little ones create their masterpieces on the bathtub walls or using bath toys. Supervise and encourage them!

Notes

You can substitute shaving cream with foaming hand soap or whipped soap. For added enjoyment, include a few drops of essential oils for a pleasant scent. The paint can also be used on non-porous surfaces, but rinse promptly.
