Instructions

Preparation

  • Choose a well-ventilated area and lay down newspaper or a drop cloth to protect surfaces from paint spills.
  • Fill your container or tub with warm water, ensuring it's deep enough to fully submerge your ornaments.

Painting

  • Open your acrylic paint and carefully drizzle a few colors onto the water's surface.
  • Let the paint naturally spread; you can swirl it slightly with a wooden stick for effects.
  • Wearing gloves if desired, gently grip an ornament and slowly lower it into the water at an angle.
  • Allow the ornament to submerge completely to capture the paint.

Finishing

  • Once submerged, carefully lift the ornament out and let the excess paint drip off.
  • Place the ornament on a drying rack or paper towel to fully dry.
  • Optionally, spray with clear sealant for added protection.

Notes

Consider swapping materials, using different types of paint or adding embellishments like glitter for uniqueness. Store finished ornaments in a cool, dry place wrapped in tissue paper.
