Preparation

  • Choose a plastic container or mold with a shape you like. Ensure it is clean and dry.

Add Decorations

  • Place your chosen decorative items inside the container. Use a mix of colors and textures for added visual interest.

Mix the Water

  • In a separate bowl, mix water with food coloring or natural dye. Stir until the color is well combined.

Pour the Colored Water

  • Carefully pour the colored water into the container over your decorations. Leave some space at the top to allow for expansion in the freezer.

Freeze

  • Place the container in the freezer. Allow it to freeze for several hours or overnight.

Unmold the Suncatcher

  • Remove the container from the freezer. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften the edges. Gently pull the suncatcher out of the mold.

Add Hanging String

  • If desired, poke a small hole at the top and thread through your string or fishing line. Tie a knot for securing.

Hang and Enjoy

  • Hang your suncatcher in a sunny spot and enjoy the vibrant colors!
