Ingredients
  

Materials Needed

  • 1 piece Terracotta pot (small to medium size)
  • Variety pieces Iridescent glass or ceramic tiles Available at craft stores
  • 1 tube Tile adhesive Ensure it bonds well with porous surfaces
  • 1 bag Grout Preferably in a light shade
  • 1 piece Small tile nipper For trimming tiles if necessary
  • 1 piece Fine-grit sandpaper To smooth rough edges
  • 1 piece Small spatula or craft stick For applying adhesive and grout
  • 1 piece Damp sponge For cleaning excess grout

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare the workspace by laying down a protective covering to catch any adhesive or grout.
  • Clean the terracotta pot with a damp cloth to remove dust.
  • Plan your design by experimenting with different arrangements of the iridescent tiles.

Mosaic Creation

  • Apply adhesive on the back of a tile, then press it firmly onto the pot.
  • Continue placing tiles according to your planned design.
  • Fill any gaps with smaller pieces as needed.
  • Let the adhesive cure according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Grouting

  • Mix the grout in a bowl according to package directions.
  • Apply the grout into the spaces between the tiles with a damp sponge or spatula.
  • Clean excess grout off the tiles with a damp sponge before it dries.
  • Allow the grout to cure fully before using or moving your planter.

Notes

To care for your planter, refresh or change succulents easily. Clean the pot with mild soap and water when needed. Keep the planter indoors during extreme weather.
