Jellyfish Craft
Create stunning jellyfish from recycled egg cartons while promoting sustainability and creativity.
Ingredients
Materials Needed
- 1 carton Clean egg cartons One carton makes multiple jellyfish
- 1 pair Scissors For cutting the egg carton
- variety Paint or markers Use bright, vibrant colors
- 1 set Paintbrushes If using paint
- string or yarn amount as needed String or yarn For making tentacles
- 1 bottle Glue Craft or hot glue
- optional Googly eyes Add for a fun look
- 1 length Clear fishing line or thread For hanging the jellyfish
- as needed Decorative items Like sequins, glitter, or beads
Instructions
Craft Steps
- Step 1: Prepare the egg carton by cutting out individual cups for the jellyfish body.
- Step 2: Use paint or markers to color the outside of each cup and allow to dry completely.
- Step 3: Cut strings or ribbons to desired lengths for the jellyfish tentacles, or use strips of leftover egg carton.
- Step 4: Once the paint is dry, glue the tentacles to the bottom of the egg cup, and optionally add googly eyes.
- Step 5: Tie a piece of fishing line or thread to the top of the jellyfish body for hanging.
Notes
Try using natural dyes from fruits or vegetables for eco-friendly coloring, or experiment with LED lights inside the cups for a glowing effect.
